i did more cooking than i ever did in the same duration, i attempted to speak more languages than i used to (imagine me trying to speak mandarin to my mother over skype and to chinese-speaking friends; picking up some greek from stefanos, a bit of german here and there, smattering bits of spanish).
i've started to notice more new things about myself.
strength. just slightly before i left singapore, one of my happiest days in my life came crumbling down to reminding me of a past that haunts me. Truth revealed its real self to me after so many years. initially, coming to terms with it was definitely like swallowing rocks down my throat. i learnt what silent screams meant.
however, with this space to sit back, i wouldn't say i don't care, at least the time lapse has provided me with the serenity and let it all go. i would not be the person i am here, if not for the events that shaped me. i probably would never have been who i am now. so i am very thankful.
i am surrounded by encouraging folks and thank you very much for that. sometimes i am coming to terms with myself, and i struggle with words .. but i am slowly working the ugly side of me to become a better person. i know where my weaknesses are, i'm heading the direction where i know i should.. maybe slow, but surely.
initially i could feel it in me.. there was some sort of an inertia, something withholding myself from performing my best. today after managing a semi-crisis, i found my determination and perfectionism back.
maybe crisis management is an area i should explore as a career...
