i have more time to think about my experience in AIESEC. i do appreciate my experience thus far, and am very thankful.

sometimes i get stunned when young individuals have the opportunity to autonomy in their internships, but then they get scared of the amount of responsibility they get in our company. for the uninitiated, this is a place where you can really unleash all your ideas and you are absolutely valued for your contribution. no one asks you to do menial tasks, hold your hand; you are treated as an expert and you do your magic. we ask for the results and performance.

that's what attracted me, and was absolutely what i was looking for in a job. only apply if you want an environment like that, micro-managing is not our style. we believe in capability.

yesterday i made a trip to the company's innovation center. as a non-logistics major and a person completely uninterested in this business, i must say these several months have me embrace the notion so much more. the ideas that shape the business - technology and the smart ways of connecting networks across countries, detecting routes in traffics and being flexible for customers impress me.

after the trip, i met several german interns. this was a refreshing change after hanging out with our interns - over this past month, i am becoming very global, learning from greek to spanish to czech, but very less german. i was overjoyed when i was invited to a german interns' lunch, and i will continue to turn up for them in the future. (and pick up more german words). it's awfully weird if i'm in germany and i don't know many things from the locals right?
