last night i suddenly wanted to watch old television dramas from SBC and TCS. brought back childhood memories - was so delighted to have found it on youtube, thanks to whoever put it up. the show Wild Orchids 再见萤光兰 aired in 1996. that's 14 years ago, and my goodness; i remember liking both fann wong and thomas ong at that time. thomas ong debuted with this show. i loved this drama and the other one they both starred in as well, The Unbroken Cycle 解连环. :)
when i got up today and went to work, the weather turned absolutely chilly. approximately 15 degrees i reckon. it rained, the sky was gloomy. the fact that i left my umbrella at home (of all days) made it even worse. the only consolation i had was that the rain isn't as heavy as that back home in singapore.
overall, it was really fun at work. when i concentrate, i really immerse into my work and i absolutely dislike it when people talk to me halfway. so i enjoyed myself when i was screening the CVs and reading people's backgrounds - everyone has his/her own experiences. somehow when i was on the writer's end, i was communicating who i am and what my experiences are. now when i'm on the reader's end, i am starting to see/analyze who are making claims which are baseless and lack substance. (at least good marketing has logic backing it up).
came home, had a chat with my housemate, and i learnt some german. she's not german, but she speaks some ("Ich spreche kein Deutsch", "Ich wohne in Herseler Strasse", "Ich bin zwei und zwanzig Jahre alt"). well, i learnt 3 new sentences today, cheers to that!
