my mum and i woke up early and headed off to my aunt's place for the customary tea ceremony. my cousin evelyn was to be married that very day, and our relatives were invited over for the morning.

whilst waiting for the bride and groom to arrive at the house, many of my relatives were enquiring after my next steps. interestingly enough, they all asked about my graduation and which sector i was looking to work in.

after almost two hours of wait, the bride and groom finally cruised into the scene and the tea ceremony was over in a flash. each pair of our uncles and aunts sat to drink the tea, with each turn taking approximately 20s. my cousin's wedding dress was absolutely stunning, which was pink and the style reminiscent of the vietnamese aodai.

i even received a red packet. that was fascinating.

then we zipped home at around 3pm. i was so exhausted i fell asleep until 5plus when we had to get ready all over for part 2 of the wedding.

the wedding dinner. headed this time to marriott hotel, and at the reception table, it was really amazing to see my cousin adding a tinge of her personality to the wedding dinner. she had laid out her soft toys along the table, there were disney cartoon characters' stickers to paste onto the congratulatory cards.

next up, when you walk into the ballroom, you can hear ayumi's song playing in the background softly. that was evelyn's fave song in her university days. across the screens, pictures of their wedding shoot flash across, and one particular setting caught my eye. japanese school students' style - really innovative! evelyn is so pretty, she could really pass off as an actress or model. those shots really prove her quality of being able to pull off different looks and still look stunning.

what i loved best about the dinner was the chance to speak to my relatives. :)
