amazing.
a new insight struck me this afternoon. i recalled the point when i first stepped out of university, new theories were introduced, the world seemed more exciting.
now i'm at the crossroads. i'm about to leave university, and trying to get a springboard to catapult myself out into the corporate world.
the moments in university come flashing back. even the memory of attending my first conference abroad. the first invigorating point of travelling abroad, the exhilarating excitement of being surrounded by youths from countries i've never heard of before (morocco, algeria, etc.)
looking back, the world i've come to understand in my university days seem to be evolving.. to become another concept. i don't think i could do justice to this evolvement with mere words, but let me take a stab at explaining.
what i thought i knew and believed.. is becoming another untruth. the truth is constantly taking another corner and hiding in guises, and it's a matter of uncovering more to the truth. how to live it honestly and genuinely?
it reinforces the quote that "change is the only constant". people, matter, things.. there's more to it than meets the eye. and something i recently learnt to manage my own expectations, and perhaps not cling on too much to my own convictions, because when the truth starts to reveal itself, i try to convince myself otherwise - nobody needs to lie to you, you can deceive yourself too - which is worse because i'm beginning to believe in lies. brings more misery, since the lies sink in deeper.
funny how i began the past 4 years with an excitement, and then to hit the realization that i'm ready to leave all the wonderful memories behind, with a new comprehension and meaning to these experiences. i'm thankful, but it's also very very interesting to adopt a brand new perspective to all these.
in coping with twists and turns, i'm beginning to live anew :) and adopt a new maxim: always attempt to live in crystal clear truth world. the world can lie to you, but don't lie to yourself.
live in a world where you look forward. something i used to know. in recent times, i lost touch with that. Providence tested me on this yesterday, to make me remember this, and yes - i have not forgotten it at all. "don't lose yourself in the present when the path you sought doesn't work out for you." I moved on immediately, and all sorts of possibilities presented itself! I'm amazed even at the kinds of ideas i've had, and i feel so much at ease in my own skin.
