yay, it's days into the new year.. 2010!
what i've been up to since 2010 began:
- completed watching drama series on orchestral music - i must say it triggered fond memories of band practices, i'm itching to take up my flute again
- catching up with people - first, my cousins. i daresay we haven't spoken deeply in conversations since ages.
- rushing everywhere
somehow the 3rd point is amazingly fun. i never really liked having packed days, where i'm rushing here and there, but i'm meeting loads of people. i'm more into slow activities (where i don't feel time is running away from me so fast), having time where i'm sitting at home and reading a good book or catching a show on tv, or listening to music. surprisingly, the busy aspect is going well for me, since i get time to really catch up with people who matter.
i started my first week of official work with AIESEC. each day, i find it extremely meaningful to be at work, and driven by the individuals i meet - and to work alongside very capable and competent young people. i'm very thankful for this opportunity and there's 6 months for me to accomplish my duty and to run alongside my team :) (will elaborate more on this point again in the future)
yesterday was one such busy day. went to a sales training with AIESEC, then stopped by to say hi to the SMU members, and quickly dashed off to attend celia's wedding.
at celia's wedding, it was a great time meeting jessie, donna, ann, wilfred and quite a few other social science coursemates. many of them are graduating/ graduated, and we were discussing future options, and how some of us may not meet again soon. some applied for graduate school abroad, to places like canada.
reminiscing about year one where ann and i used to hang out so much, and jessie and donna in my first, second and third year! (and celia even got married already)
took some time to think when will be the next time i will meet up with them, and my new year resolution is to Catch Up with More People.
