alas, summer is arriving
yes, it's drawing near.

i've prepared a list of things to do during summer for enrichment :) decided to take up a third language! was choosing between korean and japanese..

cos i've begun to watch korean channels and there's this tv segment which teaches short, quick, easy phrases. i've picked up quite a couple of words along the way and sometimes when the tv is showing comedies which are not in english - i can actually pick out and recognize certain words! ok, i'm partly spurred on by the fact that when i switched on the tv, they had this talkshow with about 20 women from germany, colombia, U.S, new zealand, finland, italy.. and they all spoke korean fluently. that made me want to go pick up a third language. and funny enough, i was trying to learn some korean from their convos. talk about irony~

(in the mean time i get to apply my cognitive psych knowledge about acquiring a new language - adults pick up new vocabulary faster than children, but grammar-wise..

but, i've set my mind on signing up for jap classes again because

1. i've got the basics (i can read hiragana, i've the vocabulary)
2. i just need to get to the grammar classes

i'm determined to sit for the exams this time. the last time i took the lessons in jc, i skipped the classes which addressed the grammar part.. cos of band practice.
