yay! i've finally got my pics of belgium from sabrina's cam :)
i left my camera charger the time i was in meeting in rotterdam. retrieved it from sophie during IPM. delighted to have snapshots of memories again~
so anyways, here is a picture of my fave city in belgium -- ta-da! feast your eyes on ghent

i think this city is the epitome of tranquility. extremely pretty and quaint, untainted by the presence of rowdy crowds and tourists. the beauty of this place remains less discovered by visitors. :)
i stumbled upon the castle in ghent. my first castle encounter. fabulous. maybe it's cos i've never been to one so i'm easily pleased. i adore the structure and the courtyard. has this sense of simplicity around it.

was really glad sabrina and others encouraged me to check out this place. 4 stars! my 5th most fave city in the world.
By the way, if you'd like to know, my top 3 places are:
1.
cappadocia, turkeynothing ever beats the fairy chimneys. never. the breathtaking, fairy-tale like scenery is one of its kind and every other place pales in comparison. especially since its shaped by mother nature. i first realized my love for natural stuff here. :)
2.
angkor wat, cambodiagorgeous. architecture is ... just wonderful. and the sight of the sunset from the paranomic tower is stunning. i became so proud of being asian, especially as a south-east asian. 'nuff said. :D
3.
galle, sri lankathe dutch fort's view of the sea is beyond description.. magnificent waves!
