my wish
found it really weird today. maybe it's cos sharon left today.

went to wan xin's blog and found an entry on sharon. funny how i share the same sentiments as her. i thought when we came to this day, it would be a normal good-bye. hmm. i'm used to saying good-byes after all this while, after conferences and all..

then i had this idea to blog about sharon. (wonder if she'll be stunned to see herself featured on both blogs :p)

contrary to that.. i remember saying on msn i'll miss her and that i was sorry i couldn't go to the airport to send her off because i had class. when i checked my email this morning, sharon dedicated a song to me:

Rascal Flatts Lyrics
My Wish Lyrics

when i read the lyrics, tears welled up in my eyes. means a lot to me. thanks sharon :)

i think it's particularly harder for good-bye this time because my good friend whom i've always seen around in singapore has flown to taiwan. never had any close friend go abroad before... we always have firsts in our life, don't we?

hmm. i don't really remember when i started speaking a lot to sharon.. maybe on the pre-trip to IC Turkey, and we were on the journey to cappadocia. felt most comfortable around her out of everyone then.

and yes, she was the one who put me in branding and communications - and where i discovered my passion! :) and i was given the free rein (kinda) to do my own things and free to roam around during IC.. :) had sooo much fun then, and i remember being invited to legislation, oh boy. and sharon was ever so calm for all meetings and events. don't ever recall her getting frustrated.

of course, in 07/08 i had travelled sooooo many times with her. not intentionally though. i only realized after i came back from all my trips. turkey, japan, china, vietnam. that's four. the person i met most on my trips abroad from singapore.. haha. i use the word met because i did not fly to japan, china and vietnam with her (though we did return together for vietnam), but she was there on all occasions ;)

the unforgettable china APMCTC- the first time when @ Singapore was represented for once by singaporeans; grace, sharon and myself. sharon described that moment as being accompanied by pseudo bananas.. yellow on the outside but so angmofied. :p

of course, she heard all my rantings, my thoughts, my learnings in different aspects of life... and i'm very grateful for her faith in me all this while.

haha and of course, when i smsed her to wish her a safe journey, she said "Bye bye!" :) sounds excited, huh? i'm happy for you for your next stage in life!
