"Tomorrow, I am going to be the result of Today"
immediately i thought, yes. important how we live the values.. another thing that was brought up is communications does the communicating, but the processes are the enablers of Activating Leadership. and that values are what makes the experience consistent for the external every single time
we had an I am an AIESECer story session (i loved this session), and we were supposed to answer three questions.
what are 3 things that you and your country of origin have in common?
living harmoniously with other cultures, constantly on the lookout for new opportunities and pragmatism.
what are 3 things you have dared to do in AIESEC (that you would not have done otherwise)?
1. travelled abroad alone, and as you have seen above, stopping over in 4 different cities in one day. (what a time!) i also walked around with a map, i finally learnt to read them :p such adventures i wouldn't have gotten without it.
2. gone for networking sessions alone
3. visited nine countries in one year
what are 3 achievements that have made you proud?
1. getting into the gcc; i really wanted to show that there are numerous opportunities in the organization.. a lot of times, choices are made by us.. we can gain different experiences just by going out there and capitalizing on them. the opportunities are out there for you to grab.. it's how much you want to put yourself out there and see with an open mind
2. established relations with a PR company; members loved the experience, enjoyed the learning process and coaching from professionals. that got me motivated about Comms :)

I had a great time sharing with lucy.. and from the conversation, i arrived at the conclusion that in all of us sharing our stories, we have common themes that run through. some sharings that struck me (from my teammates):
"tomorrow, i am going to be the result of today"
the people whom you interact with, will shape who you are in the future, even if you don't realize it at this moment.
"feels like family even though we met only yesterday and some others this morning"
so true. we're all from different countries and continents, but we get along so quickly, it's almost as if we've known one another for a long time.
