nearing the end..
day after day pass.
i've been interning at starwood for almost 5 months now and the date draws nearer to the end of the learning journey in this company. funny how i've really found myself to love the C&B team and they're really such a perky, quirky bunch :)
and my fellow interns. we are always perpetually packing food back to the office for lunch and chatting about stuff- taking breaks in between work to complain about school, discuss about which majors to declare, travel, getting excited about intern applicants (our successors), etc :)
3 more weeks before i say goodbye.
goodbyes are always hard.
will miss:
Gwen: stuffed dinosaurs and her great interest in all things japanese- she introduced me to numerous new-age jap actors, actresses, bands and lent me jap comics and vcds! her persistence and patience never ceases to amaze me. gambatte!
Alvin: playing with Gwen's dinosaur, creating his own impromptu rap song, humerous punch-lines (i think you should really consider being a stand-up comedian as an alternative career path)
Genelle: "sheng siong auntie" and her trademark gesture. not forgetting her chicken little dance (such wonderful entertainment, you spice up my internship :p ), stories of chasing artistes like bae yong jun and alex to, and her passion for korean dramas.
Li Ching: unwrapping presents; she loves tearing apart the wrapping more than finding out what the present is.
not forgetting,
the aircon: the centralized aircon is literally a freezer. but our ingenious intern supervisor hendra pasted paper over the aircon vent with the words: "hey you! feeling cold? fret no more!"
think it will be hard to say farewell..
but i know deep down,
there will be moments when you encounter Goodbye by the road in a journey called Life. yet the upside is that you will subsequently part with Goodbye and meet Hello, introducing you to other beautiful learnings along the way.
