ahh.. the sweet, nectarine taste of success.
there was a stage where i questioned myself, why continue making attempts that ended in futility; i found myself in the same location, same office, meeting the same receptionist every time. i wondered where these tries were heading, or rather, where was i heading. yesterday, having failed twice, i asked myself:
was it me, i just didn't project myself well enough, or was it the competition that was just way ahead of me? and the more i felt a sense of frustration, maybe i was close to sensing helplessness.
until the third try paid off today. after i posed the question to myself last night, i asked mayas and he offered me an answer:
both. (improve your branding and up your competitiveness). and i was determined to apply the art of bridging, keeping fingers crossed that failure would not cross my path again today.
my heart sunk in a way when my interview ended in a flash, (ok, that's cos the other two took longer). all that was running through my mind was,
oh no. I was the last interviewee for the day and well, game was over. goodbye to this company, since i don't think i was what they were searching for.
alas! i returned home to be greeted with fantastic news- an internship offer! :)
lesson learnt: perseverance pays off. failure enhances the beauty of success- and makes you so much more grateful.
