tornado
never heard of singapore having tornados?

i just saw one first-hand from my company's window! one of my colleagues was on the phone with a client and he witnessed the formation of the tornado at sea! he called us over and wow, indeed, it was stunningly breathtaking even though the actual tornado was far away. i have to admit, i held my breath as an aeroplane hovered over it and a ship sailed through it. thank goodness, they passed through it without any sign of distress.

the tornado gradually lost its power and magnificence after 10 minutes.

nevertheless, the excitement of viewing this tornado overwhelmed all of us in the office. my colleague took pictures of this tornado with her camera, but the tornado was quite a distance away so the phenomenon was not clearly captured in the picture and videos.

astonishing. the tornado was swirling and twirling, with the waters near it defying gravity.

and jolene (she works in the other end of my office) messaged me, asking if i had observed the scene outside. =) guessed everyone in the office noticed.

wonder if this phenomenon was caught on film by the newspapers. let's see if it hits the headlines tomorrow!

it's 5:11 PM now on Friday, May 25, 2007
