conference in hk
hi everyone, here are the updates on my trip to hk...

1st day
on friday, CLM took the morning flight via cathay airlines and i felt unwell on the plane. probably feeling claustrophobic since the person in front of me unwinded her chair backwards, leaving me little space to sit comfortably.

wonderful weather~! natural aircon. my first winter experience! =)

we found ourselves walking into a random shop, ordered wanton noodles and wow.. yummy~ these noodles are better than those here! the filling in the wanton is much more generous and tasty~

walked around, and saw these bunch of small pakistani kids conversing in cantonese (gosh, at that very moment i felt a little ashamed of myself for not being able to speak in a dialect. at least not fluently.). the 3 of us followed them across the street (passing by yau ma tei police station, took a quick snapshot of the place.. it's been featured a few times on hk dramas). landed up near mac's and we went inside to grab... a cone ice-cream..during winter~ haha.
explored tsim tsa tsui, tin ho temple, jordan, temple street night market in that night. bought a very satisfying dinner consisting of a porridge, fried noodle and a cup of soya bean milk! we bought desserts individually too~

2nd day
had a day tour.. went to multiple places with the tour guide.. ate sumptuous dim sum, went to half of the peak, repulse bay, aberdeen typhoon shelter, etc.. visited esprit outlet. burnt a hole in my wallet on the 2nd day. sigh. cos of the vcds i got for mum.. and the "marshmallow". the three of us combed the streets all the way from tsim tsa tsui to mong kok. think we walked 4 mtr stops.. =D explored ladies market~

below: one of many dishes we had for our dinner~

3rd day

cabbed to hku and waited 45 minutes for SDPMLN to arrive from Macau. acquired a new nickname- marshmallow. first day was fun~ barbeque in winter~

4th day
the view from the peak was breathtaking. but i think i stayed too long at the top of the peak cos my ears felt as though they were about to fall off.

5th day

Cultural presentation and roll calls. Wore the baju kurong outdoors.. in winter~ haha i don't think i'll ever do that again..Love watching other countries' roll calls.

6th day

Day of farewell. Well.. 'nuff said. Basically we were all getting contacts from everyone else during the talks. haha and taking photos~

Post conference

felt like a kid all over again. sat on the merry-go-round, the ferris wheel for kids and played at the playground with laura.
ocean park was definitely worth the money! i could feel my heart in my mouth when i rode the mine train. the cable car ride's scenery was breathtaking.....

celebrated nic and marcus' birthdays before rushing to the airport.. the three of us were so exhausted that we slept in the cab on the way to the airport.

and was i glad to receive wireless network to check my school emails.. 200 mails sitting in my mailbox.. -.-"

more happened along the way: the countless scandals.. and stories that unfolded.. haha~
