xmas

forgot to blog about last week: zhiwei, bei and myself headed down to mind cafe, where we had a whale of a time. amber and rina came down to join us. one of the games we tried out was snorta: everyone has to pick an animal from a bag and hide that animal in a small house that's provided. we were to come up with a symbolic noise for that animal and each player is given a deck of cards to be placed face down. we'd take turns opening the cards and once there are two of the same animal cards on the table at the same moment, then the two players are to shout out the opponent's symbolic noise and the first to shout it out wins and passes the face up cards to the loser. the five of us were going "baa baa","meow meow","moo~", "quack quack" etc. small farm we had there. and what a coincidence, my aunt's the owner of that shophouse and she leased it out. and we weren't aware of it all, only till amber reached home and spoke to her mum about it.. haha~
this week: my cousins held a xmas party at their place on the 20th (rather early). yes, felt out of place cos they invited their friends along. and nope, their friends didn't mingle (i attribute it to the fact that the age gap's rather wide, considering my elder cousin brought along aunties and late twenties people from her workplace and the younger cousin had his early twenty-something year old buddies). i hung around my aunt instead. haa~
their house has this screen projector, so we watched scary movie 4 (feels like a theatre). sang our hearts out with their karaoke set (new kbox and free for me too) till 4am. the only significant difference between kbox and their karaoke set? no chinese songs, just english ones. =D
celebrated my aunt's birthday yesterday with steamboat at their place. after we finished our meal, charles arrived and he was updating us on his latest project. he has this art exhibition at the national museum; check it out when you are free/wandering about aimlessly in town/bored after lessons~ the exhibition will last for around 2 months.

- internship in NZ/Canada/US/UK with oxfam (probably going to remain as merely a dream)
- exchange in switzerland (perhaps wishful thinking too~)/canada/sweden/new zealand
- pull up my gpa
- to clear all the university cores and other business/economy/technology related courses because they're dragging my grades down.
i'm building lots of castles in the air. at present, all these seem to be beyond my reach. some opportunity cost has to occur somewhere along these lines. prioritizing has to come into the picture but leave me to my own thoughts right now.
i've the time to ponder since it's still the holidays. haha~
