virus alert
My comp's infected with one virus and loads of spyware. I'm frantically trying to get rid of all of them. There're too many of these spywares on my comp and it makes my comp lag (at least, that's what i think). Unnecessary pop-ups everywhere.
Let's move on to another topic.
Evelyn managed to attend the wish granter's training yesterday cos she called the person i/c and they asked her to come down. So i went to evelyn's house after guitar prac. The bus moved like a tortoise and the aircon seemed spoilt. When i finally reached the bus stop and alighted, i have no idea how i gave the bus driver the impression that i wanted to board the bus again. -.-"
Went over to eve's house and watched tv until about 4pm when we took a cab to chung cheng high (the main one) to help my aunt prepare the buffet for the volleyball team. Waited for like one hour before we did any actual work. Got free food after helping to pack the boxes of food. =) was beginning to starve after seeing the fries.. haha..
Then aunt called for a cab cos she was rushing to bartley sec to fix the lighting in her drinks stall. i envy the kids at bartley. they get to have a drinks stall in their library.
After that, we rushed to town to attend the training session. I felt kinda out of place there, cos the other volunteers were like above 21.. And there was this experienced wish granter that asked if i was a student and insisted there was an age limit. But the person i/c assured me that it's all right cos i'm a special case. =) Now i'm ready to take wish cases.. yay!
However, my personal view is that, for wish granting and most volunteering that involve kids, I don't think it is necessary for them to have an age limit. I mean, the age limit is quite a superficial gauge of a person's maturity and mentality. As long the person is willing to volunteer and the intention is to brighten up a kid's day, i don't see what's wrong with them wanting to be a wish granter. After all, the foundation's mission is to grant the wishes of terminally ill children. It's to cheer them up for a day, to be responsible for helping the kids achieve their wish and i think age is not an issue here.
